Should people be rewarded for bad behavior? I think not…
Come on people. How crazy is this. I thought the customer was “always right”. Please read what I have to say about Steve Slater.
First, this JetBlue employee blows up on a passenger after some disagreement, cursing them out and dropping F-bombs everywhere, saying every other thing that’s not in the Bible. Secondly, this employee doesn’t stop there, but then grabs some beer, voices his frustrations on the aircrafts loudspeaker, then deploys the emergency shoot and actually exits the plane by sliding out of it. Thirdly, which makes no sense to me, but this man is turned into a folk hero by most media, getting a whole lot of attention for being unprofessional and as of tonight I even heard he has offers for a television show? Are these people for real??
If you want my opinion, I am glad this guy did this and lost his job. The sooner the better. I do not want any unstable loony like this on any plane I decide to purchase a flight for. Working for any airline I can imagine is a highly stressful job. A person can get tired from the jet lag and frustrated at their customers, I understand, but who doesn’t? When you took took the job you quickly found out what you were in for. I don’t agree with this behavior at all. I only hope someone with sense, who has been laid off for months or struggling to find a good job in this economy gets to be his replacement.
