When I first caught wind of this news yesterday, I had only heard Eva Longoria’s side of the story.  Several news sources had started reporting that the ‘Desperate Housewives’ actress was filing for divorce after 7 years of marriage with baller Tony Parker, after it was found that her husband had been cheating on her with one of his teammates own wife.  How time flies because I didn’t even realize their relationship had lasted even that long.

Eva filed her papers in a Los Angeles Court and luckily they did have a prenuptial agreement.

Now here’s where it starts to get interesting… TMZ reported today that “Tony did indeed have a “sexting relationship” with Erin Barry, the estranged wife of former San Antonio Spur Brent Barry, but it ended months ago. The sources insist, “They never had a physical relationship.”

If you ask me, this ‘sexting’ is still very much a violation of trust in a marriage just as anything else.  Some people though, that I have spoken to today about this situation are mixed in their judgements.   One even told me his explanation saying, sexting is only simple flirting.  But who really would accept such flirting in their relationship unless it was an open one from the get-go?  And why not ‘sext’ your own wife instead of someone elses?  I’d like to see such people who make these excuses to come home to hundreds of such messages on their significant other’s blackberry and see how they would react or feel.

I remember once that someone I was involved with had forwarded to me a conversation he had with a woman pretty well known in the entertainment business.  This talk between them was laced with sexual flirting from beginning to end.  I wasn’t too concerned about the IM’s after talking about it because 1. He brought it to me straightforward without me asking, and 2. He claimed it was only to get what he wanted out of her.  ”Don’t mind the conversation, you have to talk to these people this kind of way”,  is what I remember him saying.  Maybe I should have opened my eyes from my naiveness because I was later cheated on by the same guy.

So my question to my readers is, what really constitutes cheating in your mind?  Is it a purely physical connection, an emotional one, or anytime your bf/gf even looks at another person second glance, lol.  Holla at your girl with your thoughts…
