I remember clearly when I first got my BlackBerry only 3 years ago.  I was practically convinced into walking into a what would become an $100 dollar a month phone bill by my ex boyfriend.  He wanted a even cheaper way (than excessive text charges) to stay in touch since way in London, and that would be by bbm (blackberry messenger).

Since then, I have been hooked, as it is the most convenient way to talk to anyone from anywhere in the world.  From the Curve, to the Storm, to the new Torch, I just cannot go without my phone at all anymore.  It is indeed a ‘Crack’berry, and probably the only good that did come out of that relationship, lol. I even tried to give away a new Storm here at NoirGossip that was originally a gift to that certain someone, but got no responses as a new blogger.  It was later sold, LOL.

Well, seems I’m not the only one in love with RIM, as r&b singer Brandy’s daughter Sy’Rai wrote down on her Christmas list that she wanted one of these expensive cell phones for her own.  Rest assured the 8 year old will not get it according to Mommy, but I’m sure she will be spoiled rotten none the less.  And when you are able to give a good Christmas to your children, then why shouldn’t you?

In an interview with PopEater.com, Brandy mentioned:

“I got her list, and it is ridiculous. When she believed in Santa, she had a smaller list, but now that she knows I’m Santa Claus, she went crazy. Now, she wants a Blackbery and an iPhone 4. It’s like, ‘Little girl, you are 8, and you’re asking for a Blackberry?’”

I hope that she has taught her daughter a bit more than the practice of giving and getting gifts on the 25th day of December though.  The true meaning of Christmas is too often overlooked for those who tend to “celebrate” it.
