Nicki Minaj Holds Her Own Against Funk Master Flex in Interview

As was expected, Funk Master Flex was given a phone in interview with Nicki Minaj last night to explain the whole Hot97 Summer Jam fiasco and why she dipped out on performing like she did.

Funk Master Flex, who just Sunday reminded everyone of how he was dedicated to tearing Nicki down, was surprisingly more mellow and apologetic when he had the female rapper on the line for a chit-chat. Oh how I love it when people say one thing about you behind your back, then turn to kiss your ass when you confront them about it!

Let’s be real, I am not a big Minaj fan but I will definately give babygirl kudos for putting a brother with a huge mouth in his place for once. The argument between them was heated at times, often interrupting each other and talking over each other’s heads… but, I believe Nicki explained well, why she decided not to show up. For her, it was just a matter of respect for her boss, who happens to be rapper Lil Wayne. Evidently what he says goes, and if he says Young Money will not perform, then it’s a rap.

In the end, I guess not all is lost as Nicki apologized to her fans alone and promised to make up for her no-show with a free concert soon in NYC.
