Just last week the superstar Beyonce` went to the United Nations and filmed this new video for ‘I Was Here’, which was released just on the heels of World Humanitarian Day, coming up this monday. Directed by Sophie Miller - the clip is simple and clean, but I feel more could have been done with it. I mean, this is supposed to inspire folk, move people and encourage us all to help, so why should Bey in a beautiful white gown be the focus of the video? At least show her reaching out to the people she’s seeming to sing about – for example, shooting her in real locations in Africa, India and even America for that matter. Take Michael Jackson’sMan in the Mirror’ as the perfect comparison.

Anyways… It’s the thought that counts and well, I won’t hag on this forever. Check out the music video for yourself after the break and let me know what you thought of it.
