Vanessa Byrant, La Laker player Kobe Byrant’s wife was recently interviewed with NY Magazine’s The Cut, and boy did she have alot to share…most notably, how she can’t really see herself being married than anything less than a champion on the basketball court.

She said:

 “I certainly would not want to be married to somebody that can’t win championships. If you’re sacrificing time away from my family and myself for the benefit of winning championships, then winning a championship should happen every single year.”

And that’s not all.  She also had some interesting things to say about Khloe Kardashian, her favorite splurges in designer bags, how she’s so special because she gets to wait in the tunnel for her husband after the games, and how she can relate to the average mother in that she doesn’t use a nanny to help with her children. I really didn’t care for the championship remark, yet I can understand.  Most women want the best out of their men,  and especially if he’s not home half the year, there better be a good reason.  It’s kind of conflicting when Kobe’s only won 6 championships though! At the end of the day, I hope she realizes that there are plenty of  loyal basketball wives out there who will never see their man win a ring.  The big difference is that they realize and appreciate that their husbands are doing what they need to do to take care of house and home.  That’s where unconditional love comes in, but hey, maybe that’s just me… and it’s easy for her to share what she likes to splurge on when what does she do for a living again?? Riighhhht.
