Well if I had to have made a bet, I would have thought that Beyonce and hubby Jay Z would have kept their child’s pics private for well into the spring atleast… But low and behold they have decided to release the first pics of baby Blue Ivy Carter all thanks to her own Tumblr acct simply named: “Hello Blue Ivy Carter”. -Isn’t this child a cutie pie?
I can see a bit of resemblance to her father Sean Carter but not enough to make you gasp ‘Oh No’ or ‘Bless her Heart’ Thankfully!!
I think that it is SO Brandy‘s time right now, and I for one am damn glad!!
She’s back on TV, she’s putting out a new album shortly, and now this news… that she joins the cast of Tyler Perry’s upcoming film The Marriage Counselor. I can’t wait to see how this movie will turn out. Hopefully it will be the best for her since she has had a rough last few years, don’t cha think?
But here’s something to ponder. Kim Kardashian is in the film as well. Will there be drama on the set perhaps? Or are things all good now and in the past? Hmm…………
This production (which is already in the works) is yet another play-turned-film for Perry. The line up also includes Lance Gross, Vanessa Williams and Jurnee Smollett.
Jurnee’s role in the movie is of marriage counselor Judith, an Ivy League-educated woman who gives out marital advice for a living, but breaks her own rules when her own marriage gets a little bit boring. Lance portrays her husband, Brandy- Lance’s co-worker, and Robbie Jones plays the guy Judith cheats on her husband with. Kim Kardashian plays a friend of Judith while Vanessa Williams in the owner of the firm that she works for.

It’s all about Jill Scott and how she needs her…well, needs fulfilled in her newest video “So Gone (What My Mind Says).” She gets a suggestion from a friend to call a pleasure service called “Diamond Chip Dick.” Rapper Paul Wall is the gigalo that comes to Jill’s rescue and gets her sprung. lol…

Now, I’m going to be frank, I’ve never sat and listened to a Trey Songz anything… but I will sit and check out this atleast. Give him a chance, so to speak. Hmm!!! Everytime I would dig through my dvds and decide to watch Hustle & Flow because there just wasn’t anything better on TV to check out, I’d in the back of my mind wonder how Ms. Taraji P. Henson would sound singing a whole song. Never heard it. Then, I was super excited to hear rumors of how she was the perfect fit to play R&B legend Tami Terrell. Seems that I nor you will have to wait much longer to check out this actress’ talents on the mic.
“I just signed a contract for a record deal. I did, but it has to be something special. I’m not interested in disposable music.” Taraji went on to say, “I believe people want to hear it, so you have to give the people what they want.” Like a true artist, Taraji said that this is about getting her feet wet and that it’s not about the money, but about exploring a gift that she’s been given.
Sooo… This should be interesting to say the least. Also, babygirl is getting ready for a new film, called From the Rough, you can find the trailer to that after the jump. But, it’s based on the true story of a woman named Catana Starks, who was the former swim coach at Tennessee State University and became the first woman ever to coach a college men’s golf team.

Like Juice, Sparkle, Scarface and many other popular films that have no reason to be touched again AT ALL, another favorite of mine, Steel Magnolia’s has now made the dreaded “remake this movie” list. Don’t ask me why.
Among the many tweaks that’s sure to come, is the fact that Steel Magnolias will have an all black cast. Interesting for sure, but not positive if I would want to see it. Nonetheless, I’d love to hear all of you guy’s ideas on who you could invision as each character. Let me share my own thoughts real quick and tell me what you think (be mindful most of these names you probably won’t see in any LifeTime movie, but you get the drift lol):
