The 2011 BET Nominations are in, so funny how time flies because it seems like I just blogged on another one of their award shows… but none the less, here is the list for those who are interested. I always have to go back and look online for the highlights of the show, because BET’s award shows have never been that entertaining to me, yet I’ve noticed that they are “trying” to get a little better. This year, the event will be hosted by the ever so funny, yet ever so short comedian Kevin Hart.

Two people that you definitely won’t see there this year are Keyshia Cole and Trina, who after finding out they’d been snubbed, took to Twitter to vent their frustrations.  Trina cracked me up with her simple response of : “Fuck BET.”

Keyshia’s comment: “Its like this. Been on the scene 7 years. I was 21 when I got signed. 7 # 1 records. No awards 4 none of them/still touring. It is Wht it is. These types of thing R the way they R. I’m not upset about any of it in any way. I hope everyone that goes has a wonderful time.”

The lovely Jill Scott showed out at a recent stage show performance in Los Angeles’ Playhouse Nightclub.  She sang many of her well known hits and even introduced a few of her latest songs from her upcoming album “The Light of The Sun.”  Many celebs were in the house as a show of support, including Elise Neal, Brandy, Michael Jai White, and Taraji P. Henson among others.

I have yet to make it to a Jill Scott concert but I’ve heard she never disappoints.  She is quite gifted and poetic and that’s what makes her one of my favorite artists.  And the new hair cut, fierce might I add!

Jennifer Hudson looked absolutely flawless during her album release party that was held in NYC.  Clive Davis among others was there to help her celebrate at the fabulous Tenjune Nightclub.

I can’t keep mentioning enough how JHud looks damn good after losing a bit of weight.  See what hard work can get you?  If anyone needs a bit of motivation for this spring- as I want to tone up myself, check out Black Women Do Workout I follow them on Facebook and they give great exersise tips and tasty, healthy recipes daily!

While the show was a bit on the boring side, or might I even say DEAD, lol…. The red carpet fashions were not. Of our Noir Celebrities in attendance, Halle Berry and Jennifer Hudson both looked flawless at last nights 83rd Annual Academy Awards. Halle’s choice for a gown was Marchesa while J-Hud wore Versace. I can almost bet with certainty that our girl Halle will dominate all of the major best dress lists, she looks absolutely stunning ! Read the rest of this entry
