No, but seriously *smh*…  Just if things couldn’t get any worse for Mr. Chad Johnson - who was just cut from the Miami Dolphins following the head butting incident with his wife Evelyn Lozada [you can read more about that here], it seems that the two of them won’t be banking from their reality show that was set to premiere on September 3rd.

In a statement from VH1, they said:

Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the  allegations, VH1 is pulling the series ‘Ev and Ocho’ from its schedule and has  no current plans of airing it.

Not that I cared to watch this crap, because I really didn’t anyway.  Yet I have to admit I was a bit interested to see how that wedding of theirs turned out.  Guess we might never know now?  But, I will say this: I find it funny that out of all the violence VH1 has aired from Basketball Wives, they stop suddenly because of this one incident.  Why?  Is it because their cameras weren’t around and rolling at the time?

Anyway, all I do know is that these two – Ev & Ocho – remind me of “Beavis and Butthead” seriously… I bet they didn’t expect all of this to happen, but it has! AND what if… just what if…given the conflict of stories between the two of them the night of the alleged assualt, its discovered later that things just didnt happen the way Evelyn claimed, that really would be something else for Chad, having lost his job and his show all in less than a week! People, we must be more careful in our choices of  - I’m just saying!!  Hmm,  your thoughts? Miss me?

Well here is an interesting first story to post since my return: Drama queen, Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada got into something heated with her new husband Chad Johnson and he consequently was arrested for domestic violence after headbutting her last night, all according to TMZ.  The familar football player whom many of us know as Chad Ochocinco, was allegedly arguing with his new bride over a reciept of some condoms, that she found in his car when the incident occured. Bond was set at $2500 dollars earlier today, and Chad was released soon after.

This is the funniest stuff I’ve heard in a long time.  I don’t condone Chad doing what he did by a long shot… but I can’t say I’m surprised either.  I mean, this woman has a mouth.  A big mouth.  And karma is… well you know, likely to come back to us in one form or another. And I wonder why get upset for finding a reciept for condoms, when the woman basically gave her man the freedom to cheat while on the show? Or did I get that wrong???  Hmm…..  What do you guys think… Maybe this was a stunt for ratings instead…  The couple, who were just married on this past Fourth of July, were soon to be taping their new reality show together so this timing is a doozie.

11 year old Willow Smith sure knows how to rile up people with her different forms of self-expression, this time sporting a fake tongue ring in a recent photo post on her Instagram account. After all the crazy clothes, shaved and colored hair, this choice has took the cake. Seems a lot of people who have given their opinions after seeing this photo did not expect this at all, nor respect the freedom of choice that her celebrity parents Will and Jada Smith have given their children.

But what do you think… is this too far for a child celebrity to go with self expression, knowing that they have other kids their age looking up to them… or is it personal choice that we all should just deal with? I’d like to hear what you all have to say.

Kelly Rowland is out with a video for a song she recently covered that was previously by released by Kate Yania, entitled “Summer Dreaming.”  She collaborated with Bacardi Rum Company for this recording, which they are using for their 150th anniversary European ad campaign.

Shocking!

Rodney King, the black man who’s beating by LA police was the pivotal moment that lead to the Los Angeles Street Riots in 1991, was found dead in a swimming pool by his fiance’ in  Rialito, California.  He was 47 years old.

His death is currently being investigated as a possible drowning, according to law enforcement, after being found at the bottom of a pool and pronounced deceased at 6:11am this morning.

Rodney King’s name became famous after being pulled over by the LAPD and subsequently became a victim of police brutality that happened to be caught on video camera.  The four cops-Theodore Briseno, Laurence Powell, Timothy Wind and Sgt. Stacey Koon- were acquitted for their involvement in his beating a year later lead to parts of the city to riot, causing a billion dollars in damages and atleast 50 people died.

King was a young 25 year old man on parole when he tried to flee a police car that attempted to pull him over back in April of 1991.  What lead to that afterwards was him nearly being beat to death, struck repeatly with police batons, and shocked with a stun gun. After sueing the city of Los Angeles afterwards, King was rewarded $3.8 million dollars.

It’s sad to report but Yvette Wilson who was best known for her portrayal of Andell Wilkerson on the 90′s hit show ‘Moesha’ and on “The Parkers” has lost her battle with cervical cancer. She was only 48 years old.

If you recall, last month her family was attempting to raise $25,000 to help with treatment of her illness and help with her medical bills, but with last night’s passing it’s unclear if they had yet made that mark.

Close friend & co-star Shar Jackson tweeted about Yvette’s death last night, saying that “I wanna thank all my tweeties for their prayers but god has chosen to take my sister Yvette home.. …”

Cervical cancer is very fatal for black americans, because we as a group die from this cancer more than any other race.  The Genital human papillomavirus (HPV) is a huge factor in what causes this slow-growing disease, and blacks may have a problem clearing it, for various reasons.  Just more reason to why we need to focus and fight for better reproductive health care of all women, and focus on living healthier lives.
