Okay, so did anyone watch Oprah’s Next Chapter last night?

Controversial and outspoken rapper 50 Cent was a guest on Sunday’s show, and I just had to watch because of the old rumors of these two clashing in the past with words. The interview did not disappoint and was a very, very cool sit down. I have never been a huge 50 fan, don’t have a CD in my collection, but in the past I have to admit I’ve nodded my head and bounced to a few of his hit songs (particularly ‘It’s Your Birthday’), probably because the beats were so catchy. Sue me, lol.

50 goes on record about why he wanted to be an enemy of Oprah’s, and then eventually he ended up naming one of his dogs after her. He speaks candidly about his past and where he wants his legacy to lead in the future. This interview with O definitely showed a more human, smooth, softer side to the hardcore rapper and it actually kind of made me respect him a bit more than I ever have before. He meditates, is currently reading Deepak Chopra (who I must check out) and respects his grandmother with all he has. His love for the black community really shows through as well and I absolutely LOVE this part of him… He is certainly not a dumb ass.

Well, you all check out the interview after the break and tell me what you think…

Kanye Cancels on Oprah Winfrey

I love Kanye, but some of the things he does makes me wonder if he is coo coo for cocoa puffs!  He recently blew off Oprah Winfrey, cancelling a show with her at the last minute…by email!  When other celebs seem to think that appearing on her show is the best opportunity they could get, West evidently isn’t so enthused.

He was supposed to perform on a roof top location, and an insider close to Oprah said that “all the arrangements had been made”  and “Oprah is not happy” over the cancellation.

I’ve been looking through Kanye’s tweets and I haven’t seen him mention any of this yet.  We all know Kanye is the tweet KING…lol… and now I can hear birds chirping from the silence on this subject.

Oh well, his loss!  What do you think?

Oprah Gets a Pedi from Serena Williams

So, our friend Oprah got a pedicure from Serena Williams on her show today.  Serena came promoting her Mission Skincare product line.  She also shared that she has been taking nail tech classes for some time now, which I think is cool. On a side note, I have to say that the big O was extremely comfortable with showing off her bunions to the world… And hey – if I was as filthy rich as her, I wouldn’t care what anyone thought of them either, lol!  Anyway, enjoy the video of Serena and Oprah talking about love and money all the while getting a mean foot massage ;-) when you click…

Today’s show was the start of the 25th and last season of the Oprah Winfrey Show, and if you watched it today then you know she did not disappoint!

This December, the 300 audience members that  were present in today’s show will travel to Australia on an eight-day, seven-night trip courtesy of Winfrey.  OMG, how did I not get tickets to be there?!

A few of highlights from the show include her and actor  John Travolta dancing to “Love Train” by the O’Jays infront of her biggest fans, Actor Don Johnson and best friend Gayle King stopping by, and singer Paul Simon singing a song he wrote especially for her.  One second giveaway I almost failed to mention was that everyone in the audience got cell phones.
