The cast of ‘Sparkle‘ came out and shined for the LA Premiere Thursday night at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre!  Premiering in theatres yesterday, the film was the last for the late and great Whitney Houston, so many stars came also in support of her and her family.  Bobbi-Kristina, Whitneys only daughter, was ever so present with her adopted brother Nick Gordon as her date for the night.

Seems like for every celebrity that passes away, Beyonce comes out and sings her hit “Halo” as a tribute. Nice, but I will never think of that pretty song for nothing more than death anymore :/

Anyways, Bey did a great job though, tearing up the stage for last night’s Revol Set in Atlantic City. Even proud papa and husband Jay Z came out on Twitter to proclaim ” “I’m gonna say this and then I’m gonna end mine” BEYONCE is the best performer in the world. Period.”

Whitney Houston, Songtress Dead At 48

RIH Whitney Houston.

Although confirmed by her publicist Kristian Foster that the famous R&B singer passed away today, January 11, 2012 – we have yet to find out how and exactly where. Details are still sketchy.

What we do know is that we fans have lost a beautiful and influential voice in music…. And she will be very missed by family, friends, the entertainment industry, and many others.

For over a decade she wowed us with her beautiful voice, topping the R&B charts through the 80′s well into the 1990′s. “Saving all my love for You” was the song to bring her first grammy of many. She’s also well known for her controversial marriage to singer Bobby Brown, as well as acting in movies “Waiting to Exhale”, “The Preacher’s Wife” and “The BodyGuard. ”

Raised in the church, and daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston, the talent she was blessed with prospered at an early age. Yet, towards the end of her life she was sadly getting to be more known for rumors of drug abuse.

Whitney was definitely one of my favorite singers. My heart breaks that she is gone so soon. RIP.

A certain ultimate DIVA (in more ways than one) caused quite a stir on a Delta flight out of Atlanta… whom?  None other than Whitney Houston, who according to sources, wanted nothing to do with fastening her seatbelt on board so that the plane could finally take off.  I’m not sure if it was hot flashes or just a bad mood that had her refusing to fasten up, but evidently she thought at the time that safety is just as wack as crack is.

According to TMZ, Ms. Houston refused to fasten her safety belt repeatedly until one particular crew member threatened that she would be thrown off if she didn’t comply.  And even then she did not do it herself, she had to be buckled in by yet another person who was part of the crew.  The excuse that sources gave later explaining to why Whitney was so darn hardheaded was that she “overreacted a little bit after missing an earlier flight but she’s still 100% sober and was on the way to Detroit for her first day of shooting a new movie.”  That movie so happens to be the remake of “Sparkle.”

So everyone, just imagine having to be the one to buckle her in, lol…  I think whoever that was deserves a pat on the back.  The airline certainly went above and beyond on that one because I cannot fathom them doing that for the average birate flyer – frequent or not.  One thing I know for sure is that the movie set will really be interesting if this keeps up… Read the rest of this entry

Whitney Houston performed on this weekend’s Celebration of Gospel on BET and I have to say she did pretty a decent job.  It was a surprise performance with her along with Kim Burell.  They rocked together!  Check it out for yourself… Read the rest of this entry
